 WRITING CHALLENGE:
Create your own animal by merging two existing animals (like the example above) Create an advert to sell your animal. How can you persuade someone to buy such a strange creature?! MATHS CHALLENGE: Your animal can be sold for either 10, 100 or 538 pounds (you choose) Each time it is sold on it doubles in price. What id your animals value after 10, 54 and 9541 resells? Think about how you can check your answer with the inverse. GPS CHALLENGE: Describe your animal using adjectives to a friend. What is the best adjective that you came up with? why?  Is this a giant apple or tiny people?
What writing / grammar or maths challenges can you create from this picture...? you have until Sunday to submit your best ideas... ready... go!  WRITING CHALLENGE:
Write a list of everything you would buy in a 1 minute shopping dash, within a shop of your choice. Can you use the correct punctuation within a list? What parts of the store would you visit first? what would you grab for your friends? MATHS CHALLENGE: How much would your shopping dash cost? Think about how you are going to add it up. Remember that most items end in 99p. Why is this? GPS CHALLENGE: Write instructions for one toy in the trolley. Remember to use imperative verbs...  WRITING CHALLENGE:
You stumble upon a little sign in your garden (sign above) create a story starter paragraph describing how it got there. Who left it there? why is it little? why is it in your garden? Can you convince a friend it is a believable story? MATHS CHALLENGE: Make up your own street name like the one above. Can you create your own secret code for a friend to crack to find out what your street name is called? GPS CHALLENGE: How many words can you make from the street name above? Can you find any words from your year group spelling list?  KS1 and KS2 child challenge!
If you could create a new display for maths, GPS and writing, What would it look like? What would you include? create your displays for your classroom and submit below!  WRITING CHALLENGE: Write a character description for a celebrity who owns this car... What do they do? Who are they? Where would they travel in this? MATHS CHALLENGE: This car costs over 1 million pounds. What does 1 million look like? Can you represent this number somehow? using objects or figures? remember that 1 object can represent more than 1.... GPS CHALLENGE: Can you turn this tweet into formal language? What words and punctuation are you going to edit?   WRITING CHALLENGE:
Write a diary entry for the first day you get your minions. What do they do? What mischief do they get up to? Who do they meet? Can you set your writing out like a real diary entry? MATHS CHALLENGE: Minions need a bed that have an exact area of 30cm squared. What different shape beds can you make? Think about the different shapes that can be made... remember they can be irregular... GPS CHALLENGE: How can you teach a Minion to use a comma? How are you going to teach them when and where to use them?  WRITING CHALLENGE:
Create an advert for the island above. Where is the island? What is there? How are you going to get there?... Can you persuade people to visit?? MATHS CHALLENGE: How would you price up your holiday trip? Think about the total cost of your items...transport, hotel etc How many staff members would you need?
